Hello everybody, this is episode 13 with renewable power washing, pressure washing Tulsa. Uh, today we’re going to be talking to you about heat safety. Um, you’d think it’d be pretty obvious when you’re dealing with the heat, but it is a, it’s something that catches us all off guard if we’re not careful. Um, I just found myself, I’m overworking myself and about 110 degree heat index day. Um, I got pretty sick, pretty overheated. I was drinking plenty of water, had plenty of food and it, uh, taking my time, taking my breaks and it still caught up with me pretty quick. So, um, we’re going to talk today a little bit about the safety involved. Pressure Washing Tulsa Uh, when it comes to working out in extreme heat, extreme heat can be extremely, extremely dangerous to the body. Um, you know, if you’re, if you’re elderly or you’re young and you spend a extensive amounts of time out in the, out in the heat without taking the proper precautions, drinking plenty of water, and, uh, making sure that your food intake and everything is a proper, you can get yourself into a really big, really big trouble.

Um, especially for those of you that are, find yourselves out there kind of working alone one man shop or something like that. Or You have a job that you’re out there doing by yourself. You really, really need to pay attention to your body and take the, take as many breaks as you possibly can, even if you have to spread the job over a extended period of time. Um, you know, it’s very important to take care of your body once you, once you have been struck with a heat exhaustion or something like that, Pressure Washing Tulsa it is very difficult for the body to recover from that. And once you, once you go down that road, it makes your body much more susceptible to that same type of a same type of problem over and over again. And it gets easier and easier to find yourself in a, in a world of hurt when it comes to the heat. Um, that’s, that’s a really, really good sign that you are already experiencing some heat exhaustion. And, um, by that, by that time, you’re, your body’s, you’re already starting to, uh, being in some pretty, pretty dangerous territory, uh, especially for those people that aren’t used to working out in the heat all the time to where your body has kind of had a chance to acclimate to it a little bit.

Um, you know, if you’re spending a lot of time in the air conditioning and then you go out and do a lot of hard work or something like that out in a hot day, you have to be really, really careful because your body is not used to being in that type of atmosphere. So it’s going to be working overtime to try to keep your body cool. I know a lot of people these days are really big into the energy drinks. That is probably one of the worst things that you could possibly be drinking while you’re outside working and being exposed to these extreme heat temperatures. Um, it’s very, very dangerous to put yourself into that position. So just be aware of your surroundings. Be Aware of the people that are around you. Keep an eye on them, you know, make sure that you are drinking plenty of water, taking plenty of breaks, and not pushing your body to the point where you know you can’t safely, uh, get yourself out of a bind because it can be very, it can be very dangerous to the body, uh, you know, and along that, along those lines, um, light clothing, jeans are really not good because they absorb so much and they’re so. They’re so hot. Light clothing, Sun Protection of good, you know, good brimmed hat. Keep that sun off of your face and off the back of your neck and offer your ears. I’m a long sleeve shirt. I know it sounds funny, Pressure Washing Tulsa being that heat and the long sleeve shirt or getting any type of protection from that UV ray ray’s in the sun is absolutely crucial to making sure that you are staying safe out in, out in those elements.

So number one, stay hydrated and make sure you’re taking care of your body. Number two, replenish your body with the, uh, electrolytes and some of the minerals that it is losing and make sure you’re eating a decent diet, a good foods, uh, staying, staying away from a greasy foods and fatty foods, you know, taking in good quality foods, um, will really, really help your body be able to protect itself in those extreme heat, uh, environments. Um, you know, water, water, water, once you start hydrating that day, it’s probably too late. You really need to have that hydration already set in, you know, the night before and, uh, stay away from energy drinks and caffeine, a soda pop, any of that type of stuff throughout the day. It, it will just wear your body down to the point where you can find yourself in a very dangerous, very dangerous situation very quickly. So we just recommend that you take care of your body.
